This folder can be found in your Steam directory (where you installed Steam). Copy the files from the Wrapper version into the Skyrim root folder. It is safe to assume that your computer will be compatible with the wrapper version, especially if you're using a Windows. The injector version is said to be more performance friendly however, and is more often used when there are incompatibility issues with your system. There isn't much difference between the two, but most people opt for the wrapper version. After extracting the ZIP-file, you'll see two folders, one called the Wrapper version and one called the Injector version. Then go to your download folder and extract the ENB package you find there. Some files should better be backed up before editing.įirst of all, you are to download the ENB itself from the official website. Please read through the guide first before making rash steps and decisions. Note that you're still supposed to read through the description of certain pages, because not every ENB is installed in exactly the same way. Of course, there's always a first time for things, so this guide is here to help you to get through the installation step by step. Move games out of that tree to another, such as "C:\Games".Įdited by dubiousintent, 17 February 2016 - 02:45 AM.Installing an ENB can be quite tricky, especially if it's your first time. That is a system protected folder and any changes you make to it are actually stored in a "shadow" file structure which can cause wierd things like apparent vanishing files. Query: Where do you have the game installed? If it is under the "C:\Program Files" folder tree, I really recommend moving it. For some reason, that seemed to get the "wrapper" method working. While it called for adding a "-laaexe" switch to the command line for FNV4GB.EXE, that didn't work so I removed it. With that you need to edit the "enbinjector.ini" file and place "fnv4gb.exe" as "ProcessName0=" and "FalloutNV4GB.exe" as "ProcessName1".

That alone did not work for me, so I then moved on to the "injector" method. The key with that method and 4GB is to make sure the "d3d9.dll" is placed in the "exes" folder used by 4GB. The "wrapper" method is recommended to be tried first. I'm not an ENB expert, but I noted that things depend upon whether you are using the "wrapper" or "injector" method.
